During the World Rainbow Cultural Conference, Östgruppen in cooperation with IGLCN will screen the shocking documentary ”Hunted – the war against gays in Russia” about the violent homophobia that many LGBT-persons are facing in Russia today. The documentary is directed by Ben Steele (UK) and has previously been shown by HBO. You will find more information about the movie here.
After the screening, Bill Schiller (Tupilak) will lead a discussion with Vitus Media (YHRM, Russia) and Andrus Kliksha (LGBT Journalist Network, Belarus) about the situation for LGBT-persons in these countries. More panelists will soon be added.
During the evening you will also be able to sign protest letters to be sent to Russia in support of Elena Klimova, the Russian journalist awaiting court desicion accused of gay-propaganda.
